It extends its fullest cooperation to the Board of Wardens of the Church whenever any assistance is sought.

The Guild celebrated its centenary in May 2006 with a Thanks giving service followed by a public meeting. A souvenir was printed and sixth edition of packet prayer book "Ayadum Malawa" published to mark this historic occasion. The celebrations ended with a dinner participated by members and their spouses.

The Guild was instrumental in founding the Moratuwa Elders' Home with 7 members; and handed its management to a committee on 27th March 192O. Its first Secretary was Rev. F.R.E.Mendis who took a keen interest in founding this society due to the malaria epidemic that was spreading in Moratuwa, We are proud to state that this Institution Is progressing very well with over 150 inmates. The affairs of this society arc presently handled by a society called Moratuwa Janadhara Samithiya. Our members still hold key posts in this institution. The other social activity of the Guild is the cerebration of the International Elders’ Day in October with a Holy Communion Service to elder citizens followed by a social at which they enjoy themselves by singing, dancing and recalling with joy of their past services. Inmates of the Sunshine Home for Elders are also given full days meals on last Sunday in October, The project of distribution of School Books and accessories which was done for 10 years has been suspended and replaced with Scholarship programs by which milk food, cereals and nourishing food items are distributed monthly to approximately 50 needy school children of the parish. During the Christmas season, female Inmates of the Welikada prison are visited and the members sing carols and the clergy preach the Christmas message. Those inmates are treated with sweets and refreshments and the infants and children who are forced to be with their mothers are given toys and gifts by the Santa. A member's dinner with the participation of their spouses are held in January each year. Dramas had been organised In the past and at present musical shows are held to raise funds.

The members thank God for all the blessings bestowed during the past and re commits themselves to God's work for the future. The Guild remembers with gratitude the services rendered by the past incumbents, assistant curates and: the members who toiled during the past years to bring this society to this position.
